Thanks to your support, a “Posada” was held in Necahual Mexico, where 50 children joyfully celebrated alongside their families. They enjoyed delicious tamales and hot chocolate, and each received a personalized gift and a bag of candy. We extend our gratitude to Sanmina and Flex for their collaboration in making this event possible.

Thanks to your support, the Necahual Foundation collaborated in the celebration of the traditional “Posada” in Melrose Park, an event that promotes family unity and Mexican traditions. The children enjoyed Christmas carols, a nativity play, delicious tamales and sweets, and the fun of breaking piñatas.

At the Necahual Foundation, we believe no child should feel alone during the holidays. On Christmas Day, while families gather to celebrate, we ensure the children at Villas Miravalle have company too.

In addition to our “Christmas in September” event, a group of alumni and friends visits the shelter on December 25th to share joy and create lasting memories. The day is filled with activities like board games, soccer tournaments, craft workshops, piñatas, candy, and hot dogs—all to make this day unforgettable for the kids.

With your support, we can continue this beautiful tradition and ensure every child feels valued and loved on Christmas Day.

Thanks to Your Support, “Conéctate con tus Tradiciones” is Thriving!

At the CID (Center for Integration and Development) in Melrose Park, the “Conéctate con tus Tradiciones” course is helping children strengthen their Spanish skills while immersing themselves in the beauty of Mexican culture and traditions.

This enriching program is made possible through the collaboration of NAIMA (North American Institute for Mexican Advancement), the Village of Melrose Park, and the University of Guadalajara foundation USA , with expert instructors guiding new generations to connect with their roots in a fun and meaningful way.

The members of the Necahual Foundation Board gathered with the Villas Miravalle alumni at their annual meeting, where some alumni were joined by the new families they are now building. They shared their inspiring stories of perseverance and success, a testament to the impact of Necahual’s programs.

It fills us with joy to see how their lives have been transformed. While some continue to face challenges, they remain resilient and never give up. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them!

Thanks to your support, Necahual Foundation carries out various programs in Villas Miravalle that benefit more than 90 children and young people who live in the shelter home, such as the purchase of clothing and footwear, as well as the celebration of their birthdays, Christmas, delivery of “domingos” (weekly allowance) and a baking workshop.

Members of the Necahual Foundation Board, accompanied by Maye Villa de Lemus, president of DIF Guadalajara, visited and had a nice time with the children, where they enjoyed some delicious hamburgers, as well as celebrating “Christmas in September”, where personalized gifts were given to each of them.

Thanks to your generous support, Necahual México AC provides vital psychological care, social work services, and legal advice to children, young people, and families in need.

During our recent visit, members of the Necahual Foundation Board had the privilege of meeting some of the beneficiaries. We listened to their heartfelt testimonies about how the therapies have transformed their lives, offering them a renewed sense of hope and stronger family relationships.

Thanks to your support, with a beautiful mass and a nice party, seven young ladies and six young men from Villas Miravalle celebrated their “quinceañera” and their fifteenth birthday, accompanied by members of the Necahual Foundation Board and Maye Villa de Lemus, president of DIF Guadalajara, making them feel special, something that due to the difficulties they are experiencing, would not have been possible to celebrate.

Thanks to your support, Necahual Foundation buys new clothes and shoes for nearly 100 children and young people from Villas Miravalle every year.

They were very happy to be able to choose their own clothes with the designs and colors they liked the most, something that many had never had the opportunity to do before, since they used second-hand clothes or those inherited from older children.

Thanks to your support, a summer course, attended by nearly 50 children, was held at Necahual Mexico.

During the two-week course, the children took part in arts and crafts workshops, were visited by the local firefighters who taught them about fire prevention in their homes, and went on a field-trip to the aquarium.

All of these activities were done under the care and supervision of psychologists from Necahual, who were able to screen and detect any problems that require attention.

Ready for back to school!

Thanks to your support, more than 100 children and young people from the Villas Miravalle shelter will be going back to school with their brand new backpack. Each child was able to chose their own backpack, in which they will be able to comfortably carry their books and supplies as they excitedly await their return to classes.

The children and young people of Villas Miravalle were visited by VM Alumni and friends of Necahual Foundation, who spent a pleasant afternoon with them, playing games and sports activities, as well as sharing delicious snacks.

Thanks to your support, 150 children and an accompanying adult went on an field trip in which they attended and enjoyed a baseball game at the White Sox stadium, with a ticket, t-shirt, a refreshing drink and a delicious hot dog, promoting family integration.

This activity was made possible by a collaboration between the Village of Melrose Park, Mayor Ronald M. Serpico, CID, NAIMA, and the Necahual Foundation.

Thanks to your support, the team of psychologists from Necahual México gave talks to 650 young people from CONALEP in Juanacatlán (high school focused on technical and trade training), where they were taught how they can build healthy future relationships, with good communication and values, thus reinforcing family unity.

Thanks to your support, Necahual Foundation celebrated the “Día del Niño” (Children's Day) in which the children enjoyed a very special celebration, with games, delcious food, gifts, and lots of joy and fun at the Villas Miravalle shelter, Necahual México, the CID (Center of Integration and Development) at Melrose Park, and the Arroyo Chico community in Durango.

Thanks to your support, the children of Villas Miravalle learn and have fun in the baking and pastry workshop, which now has a new oven and modern equipment.

So, in addition to learning skills that will allow them to have a job when they grow up, they enjoy the delicious cakes, cookies and breads that they prepare themselves and are enjoyed by everyone.

Thanks to your support, Necahual Foundation gives the children of Villas Miravalle their “Domingo” (weekly allowance), with which they can buy snacks, sweets, a small toy or go for a walk with friends, learning the value of savings and cooperation between them.

Our programs in Mexico and the United States will continue to contribute so that hundreds of children and young people in vulnerable situations have new opportunities and achieve positive changes in their lives.

To make our 20th Annual Necahual Foundation Gala possible, we had the cooperation of more than 100 volunteers who, throughout the year and during the event, contributed with their work, time, and enthusiasm.

In early March, we met with a large group to thank them and let them know that thanks to their amazing support, programs can be carried out in Mexico and in the United States that positively impact children and young people in vulnerable situations.
