Like every year at Melrose Park School, Necahual Foundation held a Toy Giveaway, in which each child received a gift celebrating the festivities.
Thanks to your help, children and youth in the United States and Mexico receive support and affection.

The Villas Miravalle Alumni, some of them already accompanied by the new families they are forming, shared their experiences and achievements with the members of the Necahual Foundation Board who accompanied them at their annual meeting.

At the Villas Miravalle shelter, the Necahual Foundation Board visited the almost 100 children and young people who live there, and supervised the programs that are carried out thanks to your support, such as the purchase of clothing, footwear and swimsuits, birthday celebrations, Posada, weekly allowance and baking workshop.
They were also served some delicious hamburgers and a “Christmas in October” was celebrated, giving each of them personalized gifts.

The Necahual Foundation Board visited the Necahual México facilities, where thanks to your support, psychological therapy and social work services are provided to children, young people and their families, as well as legal advice to people with limited resources. A small gathering was held where people who benefited from the services shared their brave testimonies of recovery and progress.

Thanks to your support, three quinceañeras and ten young men from Villas Miravalle shelter celebrated their “quinceañera”, their fifteenth birthday. With a mass and a party in their honor, they were accompanied by the Board of the Necahual Foundation, including its President and Founder, Sergio Suárez and Maye Villa de Lemus, president of DIF Guadalajara, making them feel unique and special; something that due to the difficult situation that their families are living, it would be impossible for them to celebrate.

Thanks to your support, every year, Necahual Foundation buys clothes and footwear for the nearly 100 children and young people who live in the Villas Miravalle shelter.
For many of them, this is the first time in their lives that they are gifted brand new clothes. The children are allowed to chose their own shoes and clothing according to their own preferences, making this event special, since they generally receive second-hand clothes or hand-me-downs from other children.

Thanks to your support, a two-week summer course was held in which 45 children attended.
During the course, they participated in collage and painting workshops, wrote stories, played games, and had field trips that focused around nature and integration. In addition, the Necahual psychologists were able to screen and detect any problem that require attention.

Necahual Foundation carries out projects for the integration of children and young people, such as educational and recreational excursions.
Thanks to your support, 100 children and family members were able to attend a White Sox baseball game in Chicago, living a complete experience from the trip on two buses, commemorative t-shirts, tickets, delicious snacks and drinks, but above all the emotion to attend the game, something many had never had the chance to do.
This activity was made possible by a collaboration between the Village of Melrose Park, Mayor Ronald M. Serpico, CID, FEDEJAL, NAIMA, and the Necahual Foundation.

Thanks to your support, the “Día del Niño”
(Children's Day) was celebrated in four locations:
• CID (Center for Integration and Development), Melrose Park, IL, USA
• Villas Miravalle, Guadalajara, MX.
• Necahual México, A.C.
• Community of Arroyo Chico, Durango, MX.
Hundreds of children and young people enjoyed a special day with games, gifts, delicious food, fun, and a lot of care and affection.

At the Villas de Miravalle shelter, about 90 children and youths take swimming lessons.
Thanks to your support, the Necahual Foundation bought each of them swimming suits, with which, in addition to practicing this sport, they enjoy the pool and have fun on vacation.

Thanks to your support, every week, Necahual Mexico is able to provide counseling for over 45 children and adults from towns all over Jalisco.
Mostly being in the psychological area, over 1,500 sessions were provided last year. In addition, Necahual Mexico collaborates with schools by offering bullying prevention conferences.

In order to hold the Necahual Foundation Annual Gala, we rely on the support from over 100 volunteers throughout the year and especially during the event for which they generously donate their time, work, and enthusiasm.
we met with a large group of volunteers to thank them for their amazing contribution which made our previous Gala possible. Their support allows the foundation to carry out programs that positively impact children and young people in vulnerable situations in Mexico and in the United States.

Thanks to your support, the Necahual Foundation gives the children and young people who live in the Villas Miravalle shelter a "Domingo" (weekly allowance), a small amount of money with which they learn the importance of saving and use it to buy sweets or a small toy.
